Daniel practices in criminal law in all jurisdictions.
Prior to joining the Victorian Bar, Daniel was employed as a solicitor-advocate for Galbally & O’Bryan Lawyers in the criminal law department.
As a solicitor-advocate, Daniel appeared in:
- The Supreme Court, Court of Appeal;
- The County Court in pleas of mitigation and appeals; and
- The Magistrates’ Court in committals, contested hearings, bail applications, intervention order matters and pleas.
Daniel also has a particular interest in the connection between criminal law and business, including white collar crime, occupational health & safety, civil penalty proceedings, and other government regulation as well as disciplinary proceedings by all professional bodies.
Daniel was one of the 12 junior counsel accepted into the 2012 Trial Counsel Junior Development Program and has been selected as a member of the Victoria Legal Aid Criminal Trial Preferred Barrister List.
