Liliana accepts briefs in criminal law and quasi-criminal matters.
She is an accomplished advocate with experience in a broad range of indictable criminal matters, including sexual offences, drug matters and violent offences.
Liliana was previously an Associate at Slades and Parsons Criminal Law, where she appeared in court as a solicitor advocate daily. She has experience in summary, indictable and appellate matters in the Magistrates’ Court, Children’s Court and County Court jurisdictions. She has appeared in contested hearings, committal hearings, pleas, contravention hearings and bail applications. She has also appeared in bail applications in the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Liliana regularly works with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and has received culturally appropriate training. She has significant experience in the specialist Koori Courts.
Before being admitted to practice, Liliana was an Associate to His Honour Judge Smallwood of the County Court of Victoria, who was Judge in Charge of the County Koori Court List and presided exclusively over criminal matters. Liliana is reading with Kelly McKay. Her senior mentor is Chris Carr SC.
